Age 50

Lou has been a member of the Auburn Bowling Association for 33 years.

He began his involvement with the game at the age of 10 at the Roman Lanes.

Lou has rolled eleven “300” games, three “299” games and one “298” game. He has over three hundred “700” series and four “800” series. His career high series of 827 was thrown during the 2003 season. He held a career high average of 225 during the 2001 season. He has participated in numerous city tournaments during which he captured 8 team championships, 4 doubles events with 3 different partners - 2 with Tom Knapp, 1 with Dennis O'Donnell and 1 with his brother Chuck. He has also been a singles and all events champ. Lou has many league championships along with high average, high game and high series awards.

Lou has qualified for the Citizen Masters over 20 times and has reached the “final 8” six times. He won the title in 2001 and also became the Herald Masters champ in 1998 as a first time qualifier. He is the only bowler from Auburn to have won both tournaments to date. He considers those two titles to be his greatest bowling achievement.

Lou's most memorable moment was watching his son Jordan become the youngest bowler in Auburn at the age of 13 to roll his first “300” game.

We are proud to induct into the Auburn Men's Hall of Fame for outstanding bowling, Lou “Sweet Lou” Tabone.
